A few weeks ago a I attended the Adobe Summit 2016 Digital Marketing Conference. What an inspirational conference and trip! I came back with a LOT of takeaways and action items to move forward. Here are some photos I took during breaks. The conference took place at the Venetian which is also where I stayed.
We spent our last day in Hawaii (before our late-night flight) on Oahu at Bellows Beach. Some of the beach is open to the public but we were fortunate enough to visit the military-only portion of the beach. This was by far the most beautiful beach I have ever been to. The color of the sand and the color of the ocean were unbelievable.
We spent our first morning back on Oahu at the SPA! We had an amazing time at Aulani, a Disney Hawaiin Resort. The entire resort looks amazing, especially if you had kids. We really enjoyed their cool & warm tubs, eucalyptus steam room and other amenities. I got an amazing facial.
Next we met up with the guys for lunch at Kona Brewing Co.
Then we headed to Hanauma Bay for a quick peek at the view. Not the best day for lighting though and the beach was closed.
Then we headed to the Halona Blowhole for some beautiful views!
Then we kept driving to somewhere near the Makapuu Lookout for these incredible pictures.
And of course we stopped at the Pali Lookout.
We had a late-afternoon flight back to Oahu so we spent our last day on Maui at the beach and touring Maui Brewing Co. Maui Brewing Co. is located in Kihei so we hit a beach on the way there. I remembered to take a photo of the sign so I can tell you with confidence this was Waipu’ilani Beach.
I noticed an amazing row of bougainvillea on the street so I had to go back for photos.
We had a blast at Maui Brewing Co. in Kihei. We signed up for a tour (scheduled the previous day) for $15 per person. With the $15 you get a public tours, guided tasting of our four flagship beers, a token for a full-sized house beverage and a souvenir logo glass. We enjoyed hanging out sampling beers and eating from the food truck.
We spent our second day on Maui in Lahaina. Our group remembered a breakfast spot from a previous trip called ‘Sunrise Cafe’ so that was a MUST. I will say that it did not disappoint.
The cinnamon roles alone were amazing!
This breakfast burrito did not dissapoint.
It was just a tiny little hidden gem in Lahaina!
Next up, we checked out this amazing tree in the Lahaina Banyan Court.
And then we headed to the beach!
We cooled off with some drinks and then walked around the cute shopping area of Lahaina. If you love shopping then this is the place for you! Next up, we headed up Hwy 30 in search of more beaches. Since I was not in charge of navigating I can’t tell you the name of these but they were beautiful. Stop number one would be GREAT for kids since it had the protective layer of rock and a tide pool.
Beach number two had some awesome waves.
On the drive back we stopped for some sunset pictures.
After the Lavender Farm we stopped at the Maui Winery to try some pineapple wine that was really good!
I love stag horn ferns and they were everywhere at the winery.
I just had to know what this plant was and they told me a “jade vine.” Yes it is real!
We stopped at this little coffee house on the way back.
Next up was the The Hawaii Sea Spirits Organic Farm and Distillery where we just missed the last tasting tour of the day.
I managed to find this little orchid shed of course!
I also fell in love with Plumeria’s while in Hawaii.
On Tuesday we headed to Maui and got to see several islands from above.
We spent three days on Maui and enjoyed every minute. The first day we headed up the mountain and stopped at the Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm where I completely fell in love with proteas.
